When meltdowns and shutdowns are running the day
You’re walking on eggshells, managing the next flashpoint instead of getting ahead of it. We map the triggers and build supports that reduce how often distress takes over.
Services
When the routine changes and everything unravels, it can feel like you're managing crises instead of living. You're not failing – the behaviour is telling you something, and most generic support never stops to listen. Target Behaviour Services is different.

Positive behaviour support for autism is a clinical approach that looks past the behaviour to the unmet need behind it, like sensory overload, communication that isn’t landing, or a change no one explained, and changes the environment and supports around the person so the behaviour no longer has to do the talking.
It is not about compliance, and it never asks an autistic person to mask who they are. We don’t use punitive or reward-and-consequence models. Instead, we work out why a behaviour is happening for this specific person, then adjust the things around them so daily life gets easier – for them and for everyone supporting them.
For some people that means fewer meltdowns. For others it means being able to stay in a classroom, hold down a job, or move through the community without distress.
We’ll tell you honestly what’s realistic, and we won’t promise outcomes the evidence can’t back.

Every autistic person experiences the world differently, so the support that helps one person can fall flat for another. If what you’ve tried so far isn’t making daily life any easier, it usually means the support isn’t matched to what’s actually driving the behaviour. Here’s where families and the people supporting them most often reach out to us.
You’re walking on eggshells, managing the next flashpoint instead of getting ahead of it. We map the triggers and build supports that reduce how often distress takes over.
Exclusions, suspensions, a job that didn’t last. We work with the people around your child or adult, like teachers, employers, and support workers, so the environment stops setting them up to fail.
Autism rarely travels alone. We support people who also have intellectual disability, sensory processing differences, or co-occurring mental health needs, including complex cases other providers turn away.
Distress doesn’t wait, so neither do we. We respond within 24 hours and take referrals across all ages and all levels of complexity.
Distance shouldn’t decide the support you get. We deliver specialist autism behaviour support over telehealth, right across regional and remote WA.
Megan CFrankie has been responsive, on the ball, and genuinely great to work alongside. We always know where things are up to, and we’re never left chasing for an answer. Honestly, we love having Frankie on our side.
Autism looks different at four than it does at forty, and so does the right support. We work with autistic people of all ages and all complexity:
No two autistic people are the same, so no two plans are either. We start with the person in front of us and go from there.
Whether you're caring for person with autism or referring one, you get the same specialist team – and support shaped to your role.
You know the person better than anyone, but you shouldn't have to manage the hard days alone. We work alongside you to understand what's driving the behaviour and build support that fits your real life at home, at school, and out in the community.
Positive behaviour support is all we do, and we work with autistic people of every age and complexity. You get a specialist team that knows autism deeply, stays for the long term, and tells you the truth rather than what you want to hear.
If you're referring an autistic participant, especially one with co-occurring intellectual disability, psychosocial disability, or a presentation others have declined, we take the complex referrals other providers won't. We respond within 24 hours, with no waitlist.
We're NDIS-registered with zero audit non-conformities, and our reports recommend funding across the whole plan rather than behaviour support in isolation — so the person you refer gets a clearer path to the support they need.
A clear, supportive process built around the person, not just the behaviour. Here’s what working with us looks like, from first contact to long-term support.
We get to know the person, not just the behaviour
We spend time understanding the autistic person – their sensory profile, how they communicate, what they love, and what tips them into distress. No two assessments look the same.
We work out what the behaviour is doing
Through a functional behaviour assessment, we find the reason behind the behaviours of concern – the need that isn’t being met – rather than treating the behaviour as the problem to be stamped out.
We build supports around real life
The plan is written for where the person actually spends their day, like your home, the classroom, or the workplace. We coach the people around them so the strategies work when we’re not in the room.
We adjust as the person grows
Autism support is long-term, and meaningful change usually takes months, not weeks. We review what’s working, change what isn’t, and stay with you for the long haul, which is why our clinicians stay for years.
Ready to understand what’s behind the behaviour? We respond to every enquiry within 1 business day.
Hear from families and referrers who've worked with us through the hard days and the progress.
We had the best services from Faith and Rex from Target Behaviour Support. They were reachable when we needed them and they gave us clear working behaviour strategies on how our team could be efficient. Their reports were timeous and above all they have been consistent. I recommend their services anytime.
We have had the pleasure of working with Faith... and her professionalism, clinical insight, and consistency have been outstanding. She communicates clearly, works collaboratively with support teams, and always keeps the participant’s needs at the centre of her practice.
I have had consistently excellent experiences with Target. They always go above and beyond for their participants and bring a genuine, person centred approach to every single situation. They collaborate so professionally. Communication is clear, timely, and focused on achieving the best outcomes - every time.
From the very start, the support has been outstanding, and our whole family is genuinely happy with how things are going. We really appreciate the dedication and the clear communication, and the difference it's made in such a short time has been remarkable. It's reassuring to finally feel this well looked after.
We've achieved more in just a few months than we managed with our previous providers in years. The commitment and care really stand out, and it's been wonderful to watch the progress and the trust that's been built with our family. They genuinely go above and beyond, and we're so grateful for it.
They're always quick to respond when we reach out, and so understanding and supportive with it. They keep the person at the centre of everything and stay flexible whenever our needs change. Having someone this easy to work with has made a real difference.
Common questions from families of autistic participants.
Yes. Positive behaviour support is well suited to autism because it focuses on understanding the person and adjusting their environment, rather than trying to change or suppress autistic traits. It works for autistic people of all ages and is delivered without punitive or compliance-based methods.
Both. We work with autistic people across the whole lifespan, including young children, school-age kids, teenagers, and adults, and tailor support to each person’s stage of life and goals.
Yes. We regularly support autistic people who also have intellectual disability, sensory processing differences, or co-occurring mental health needs. Co-occurring conditions are factored into the assessment, not treated as a reason to decline a referral.
Yes. We can review an existing plan, take over support, or build a fresh plan after our own functional behaviour assessment. Get in touch and we’ll talk you through the options.
Autism support is long-term. Meaningful change usually takes months and depends on the person, their environment, and the supports around them. We’ll set realistic expectations from the start rather than overpromise.
